About

Welcome to the University of Richmond Libraries’ Digital Collections!

In 1955, the Frederic William Boatwright Memorial Library was officially dedicated and opened on the University of Richmond campus. It serves as a memorial and testimony to Boatwright’s sixty-eight years of service to the institution as student, professor, president, and chancellor.

The Digital Engagement Group in Boatwright Memorial Library at the University of Richmond creates accessible and useful digital collections of University scholarship, publications, and archival materials. We digitize, preserve, and publish University research and publications along with special collections and University archival content, prioritizing materials that are unique and most likely to be of interest to University faculty and students, scholars and more generally, the public.

Digital materials included in these collections are generally open to the public, but are intended for educational and research purposes only. Any other use, including but not limited to reproduction, redistribution, publication, or transmission, is prohibited without specific written consent. Please also visit the University of Richmond Digital Engagement page to access additional digital exhibits, collections, and projects produced by the University’s Digital Engagement Group and the Digital Scholarship Lab.
